Baseball update: Is the glass half full or half empty?

First, the bad news. The Red Sox are down 0-2 to the White Sox thanks to bad pitching in Game 1 and a disastrous error in Game 2. At least after last year, I know there is still a chance for a comeback, especially since Game 3 is at Fenway. Here's hoping that Wakefield's knuckler is dancing all over the Pale Hose.

Now for some good news. The Yankees lost tonight. More importantly, the Astros finally got the bats cranking and beat Atlanta 10-5. Tomorrow's game could be a classic, with Clemens and Smoltz on the mound.

Don't get too cocky there, Yanks aren't done. Johnson is up next. I'm polishing that raw brass on my fat Bach. Then she'll sing right purty.

Go Braves!

Oh, I am not saying the Yankees are anywhere near being done. See, now that the Red Sox are down 0-2, I want the Yankees and Angels to have to play five games.

If Johnson continues to pitch like he has recently and Mussina keeps pitching like he did in the opener, the Yankees are going to be tough to beat.

And lacquered rose brass is oh so beautiful. ;-)
