Wildcats commit to D-1 programs

I know this blog has been sports-intensive lately, and although I have been working on several non-sports posts, I just had to share some more sports news now.

Wichita Falls Wildcats forward Chris Ochoa has committed to play college hockey at UConn next season. Chris is a dynamic offensive player with deceptive speed, good hands, and a knack for getting the puck on goal and in the net (32 goals in 58 games). His hockey journey has taken him from Santa Monica, California to Wichita Falls, Texas to Storrs, Connecticut, and who knows where from there?

Chris joins teammate--and line mate for most of this past season--Kyle Kraemer in committing to a college hockey program. As noted earlier, Kyle is going to Northeastern. Due to an injury, Kyle missed seven games and was not 100% for at least that many more, but he still finished as the team's leading scorer, and he was the team's leader on and off the ice.

Both these guys are quality hockey players and quality people, and here's wishing them the best in their hockey careers!
