So long, Scotty Boy!
White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan just resigned. One of my favorite whipping boys is now gone--from the Bush administration anyway. I'm sure I will see and hear more of Scotty Boy because I'll bet that he will now become part of his mother's campaign for Texas Governor. This would be a new twist on the standard "I want to spend more time with my family" excuse. And to give you an idea of what I think about her, I would be far more inclined to vote for Scotty Boy than her.

You are probably be right. I did not mention that supposedly Rove has been removed as domestic policy adviser.
Josh Marshall has a post today discussing the changes in the administration, and he says in part that it is unlikely that "new blood" will or can be brought in because 1) to do so would be to admit mistakes, and 2) nobody from outside the Bush camp wants to have a job in this administration.
On a happier note, look for a post soon about musical experiences at Easter...
Pardon my careless checking and poor grammar, which isn't even proper for the street...
To correct myself, "You are probably right."
"Personally, I think anyone would be better then Goodhair."
Hard to argue with that. ;-)
If Gammage had entered the race earlier, I would have campaigned for him, but by the time he announced his candidacy, I had already been campaigning for the Kinkster for several months.
For my ownself, I will not vote for Strayhorn. I was involved in the litigation over the state legislative redistricting (representing a Republican), and she was part of a group that disregarded the law and the democratic process. Due to attorney-client confidentiality, I cannot go into details, but there is no way I trust her. That being said, she still might be better than Good Hair.
If Kinky does not get on the ballot, I will vote for Chris Bell.
In a slightly unrelated comment, I have taken an overdue reciprocal action by adding Methotaku's Live Journal blog in my list o' links.
