Welcome to my humble home in the blogosphere. Expect posts on politics (lifelong Democrat who likely will be an independent from now on), religion and spirituality (United Methodist with unconventional views), sports (ex hurdler and fan of Cowboys, Astros, Red Sox, Stars, SMU, and WF Wildcats), the law (civil appellate and trial litigation attorney), music (play tenor and bass trombone), comedy, cartoons, Texas, and life its ownself.
I hope you don't pass on my next post. In fact, I really want your views on the next post. It will address some conflict between some evangelicals on one side and some of the religious right and the GOP on the other side.
But at least he had the decency and backbone to quickly admit his mistake, not offer any BS excuses, and apologize to all parties involved.
BTW, the "next post" referred to above was not my school boy pining for Bonnie Hunt, nor will it be the next thing I post. However, I suspect you might want to comment on what will actually be the next post.
What I had been--and am still--working on concerns the Bible Literacy Project's Bible-based textbook, the course offered by the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools, and the defeat of proposed legislation in Alabama that would have approved a Bible-based course in public schools.
In the business world he would be fired immediately for such a statement. I was hestitant to post the link for fear that some CIA spy monitoring your blog would think I'm advocating assasination. Not sure if your tinfoil hat is broad enough to protect my posts.
Well, anyone doing that in the business world certainly should be fired immediately. However, I can tell you that I have been involved in litigation in Texas where people did similar things in the business world, and the employer did nothing about it, and the courts (with Republican judges BTW) did nothing about it. That's just one reason why I have such the sunny outlook.
